1- DROP BEAR HOSTEL, SANTA MARTHA, COLOMBIA.
Party people, this is where you want to be. We had so much fun staying at this hostel and we met really cool people from all over the world. First reason why I LOVED this place, is because they have a pool. Not just any pool, an underground pool, with a jacuzzi attached to it. Second reason I loved this place: there’s like 50 random hammocks everywhere around the hostel. On the rooftop (which was my fav), on the second floor and they even have one of those HUGE boat hammocks that can fit up to 5 people. I fell in love, and I didn't want to leave that spot. Last reason; they have the 2 for 1 deals on the drink at every second hour. Let me tell you that we definitely took advantage of this. So much that they ran out of mint for your mojitos on our last day. It was amazing!
2- FINCA EXOTICA ECO LODGE PENINSULA DE OSA, COSTA RICA
So if you’ve read my article about Costa Rica, you will see that Finca Exotica Eco Lodge was one of my top 4 things to do there. I just thought I would mention it again here, because I think this was my favorite hostel of all time. If you want to live an incredible exotic experience, this is where you want to stay. Open air bungalow, with nets around your bed, what more can you ask for? Waking up to the sound of monkeys in the wild, listening to the ocean’s wave right before going to sleep; you will not regret it. I feel in love with this place the moment I stepped foot in it. They even had these huge dinners that you could join and meet awesome people. Please stay at this hostel, it will change your life.
3- SEVEN HOSTEL, SORRENTO, ITALY.
So I know that people stay in Sorrento because it’s the cheapest option when you go to Positano, but there's also great hostel that you can stay in and that are really affordable. This place was huge, the bed were super comfy, and omg the rooftop. So I got a thing for rooftop, I mean, who doesn't? This rooftop was INCREDIBLE. The view was unbelievable! There is also a really awesome bar you can hang out to meet cool people. Check it out if you're thinking of staying in Sorrento. I’m telling you, you will not be disappointed.
4- KATERINA ROZA STUDIOS, NAXOS, GREECE.
I don’t think Naxos is a very popular destination when people think about travelling to Greece. That is what makes this place one of my favorites when I travelled there. Obviously, Santorini and Mykonos are a must, but there's only so much time you can spend on those two islands. I suggest making a quick stop in Naxos, just to get away from the many, many tourists. You can read about what to do in Naxos HERE. I stayed at Katerina Rosa Studios and I had an amazing experience. It's a small, family owned hostel that really gives you the feeling that you are a local from the island. The owner picked us up from the ferry, and drove us to our hostel, free of charge. They offered a yummy breakfast in the morning and little fruits to bring with you along your day. Honestly , it's worth checking it out if you're looking for some peace and quiet, authentic greek experience.
