Welcome to the second article we wrote with Alexandra. Special edition: IRELAND. As you may know, Julie and I haven't been to Ireland... yet. But after speaking with Alexandra, it's definitely on our bucket list.

We've done the TOP 4: Things you need to know before you go to Ireland. Now, here is the TOP 4: Things to do in Ireland.

1- Eat/Party in an Irish Pub

This is without a doubt something you will be doing during your time in Ireland. You can’t visit this country and skip the traditional Pub “party”. Take the time to stop in one of the many pubs (they are everywhere). Eat, drink and experience the real Irish drinking style. Also, you might want to try one of their traditional dishes: chicken stew or fish and chips. It’s not super fancy, but it’s veryyyyyy good.

*Remember: the tips are usually included on the bill*

2- Guinness Storehouse, Dublin.

Although it’s quite touristy and a little bit expensive, this is something you absolutely have to do. If you take your time, and visit the entire Storehouse, it can take you about 2:30 hours, which is worth the 45 euros. There is nothing like it in the entire world. The inside of the building is made like a beer pint, so when you enter you will find yourself going around the inside of the pint until you reach the top. At the top, that’s where you can hang out at the Gravity Bar, which has a 360 degree view of Dublin. They will offer you an beer, that is exclusively served there and it will be one of the best beers you will ever drink in your life. Who doesn’t want to try that?

3- Newgrange, Boyne Valley.

Very important to take the tour to visit these monuments. To this day, they still don’t know exactly why these monuments were built, how they were built (specially because the technology back then wassn’t what it is today), and when they were built. They are many questions surroundings Newgrange which makes it even more interesting.

You can visit the inside of these monuments. Even though it’s very dark inside, there is a specific time during winter solstice when the sunlight hit the right point and illuminates a straight line. It’s just very interesting!!!

4- Visit only ONE castle

Ireland is filled with castle everywhere you go. We would suggest that you do your research, pick one that you really like/want to visit, and go. You don’t need to visit every castle you see. Once you visit one, you kind of know all the punches, and you know what to expect from them. The main reason you would want to visit more than one, would be to see the beautiful view from the top.

*Trim, the castle in the Braveheart movie; is definetely worth the visit!
